At St Thomas More we support various local charities. Our school council are instrumental in organising events that raise money and awareness. The children vote democratically about how to raise money for the chosen charity and are engaged in fun activities through events that are planned in school.

Please see below some of charities we have supported.

We have raised over £700 so far for Ukraine and are still collecting donations. We are blown away by the generosity of our school. We dressed in yellow and blue to raise awareness and show respect. 🇺🇦

During Mental Health Awareness Week and wore green to school on Friday. The aim of this was to show children that they are not alone with their mental health and ways we can support our mental wellbeing. We raised over £300 which went directly to Place2be to support young people's mental health.

St Thomas More Beacons, our chaplaincy team,  encouraged their classmates to enter an Easter Garden Competition during Lent. To enter, their friends paid £1 and all proceeds went to support Demelza House, Hospice Care for Children. As you can see the entries were spectacular and it was very hard job to pick the winners. The winner of each class won a delicious Easter Egg and everyone had a chocolate lolly for entering. More importantly, we raised a lot of money for our charity.
