Home - School Agreement

At St Thomas More Catholic Primary School we aim to positively affect the life and future of every child. Parents and teachers working together gives our children the best education possible and helps them to reach their full potential.

As a school

  • We will do our best to:
  • Support your child’s wellbeing and safety by providing a safe, supportive and nurturing environment rooted in the Catholic faith
  • Support your child in developing a resilient attitude to learning and reach their full potential
  • Share information on children’s progress through progress reports, parent’s evenings and end of year reports.
  • Provide a rich curriculum that caters for the needs of all children
  • Provide opportunities for wider learning and experiences and extra-curricular opportunities to support the development of ‘the whole child’.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and respect for others and the environment around them, maintaining a safe environment for all children and to help them become respectful and tolerant members of the community
  • Offer your child opportunities to develop a sense of responsibility, form healthy social relationships, build their self-esteem and help them learn how to remain mentally healthy
  • Offer opportunities for parents to be involved in school life and support them in understanding how the curriculum is delivered
  • Communicate between home and school through newsletters, text, email and the school website
  • Encourage good attendance and address any concerns with parents where necessary
  • Respond to communications from parents in a timely manner, working together to resolve any queries or issues.
  • Support our families wherever possible with any challenges they are facing
